can't write a poem
about nobody
can't stop myself
from wanting to be in love
never been in a plane
over mountains
never flatlined
i'm a middle man
i great plains drifter
floating straight up
one day i will nose dive
one day i will split earth
the core of me
will melt magma
into vapor
